Insight into the creation and mission of Accubuilt

More Than a Business

Riding shotgun in my dad's Jeep at just 3 years old, I was destined to get hooked on this wild hobby that's now my passion and lifestyle! From riding to getting my first crawler I had lots to learn to keep up. That's when I picked up welding and got my hands on a small plasma table. This sparked a fire that quickly became my first business I ran through high school Kunkel Fabrication. While I really enjoyed doing oddball fabrication, signs, and a few axle builds I knew this was just the beginning and one major thing was stopping progression.

The Fab School

The next step in creating professional projects, parts and tools was a better understanding of CAD. In 2022 I decided to take the Digital Design and Manufacturing class at The Fab School where I studied solidworks modeling, assemblies, blueprints, and machine operation with tools like 3D printers, press brakes, lasers, CNC lathe and CNC mills. In addition to the skills, I gained valuable insights into fabrication and design cues from a different region and motorsport. The Baja/Desert racing world has long outpaced rock crawlers in quality of parts, design thoroughness, usability, and overall fit and finish. However, this has since been my goal to bring trophy truck level quality to the rock crawling market in a a carefully crafted vehicle that checks all the boxes and doesnt break the bank.
